In the middle of the night, he misses her, he can't be at her side or even call her, but it is evident from his moist eyes and sleeplessness that he is nostalgic for the time that they have spent together, how she would wriggle about in the few little hair that he has, and gently whisper.... "neend nahi aa rahi kya?".
People say that Marriages are made in Heaven, I agree to disagree because now in this Kalyug, everywhere you look, anywhere you look, there is at least some if not more levels of discord in marriages. God did not make you perfect, so how can he perfect relationships. The sooner you understand and acknowledge this fact, the happier you will be.
None the less, God did give these species from Venus one secret little gift - 'The unconditional and infinite Love'. And then you say Men are biased towards the fairer sex, if God was biased in giving them the blessings, who can blame us??
I am not here to advocate or evaluate the current situation, I am just talking about a lonely husband waiting eagerly for his wife to come back home.
He has not known love, or even if known never understood it. Even after an year of his marriage, he fails to understand how can one girl; having lived all her life with her family and friends leave everything for one guy, she does not know, she does not understand; does not know his thinking, his attitude, his family, his eating habits, his culture, and for that matter his sexual preferences (Yeah, its happening now a days, u can never really tell). YET, they say that Men are the Risk Taking types!!!
My Bhabhi(Sister-in-law) says that your wife should be your number one priority, no matter what happens, you should always remember that she is the one who has sacrificed her entire life to be a part of your family, and if you cannot make her comfortable, no one else will be able to. Earlier i thought she is saying that being a lady, but now I understand that Women are really a Mystery Material, The scientists in search for Aliens should take a break and concentrate on where and how did this female species evolve to these levels.
One thing is for sure, it is only the Mothers and Wife in your whole damn life, who would love you unconditionally and devotionally. They would complain, and believe me, they ALWAYS do... but at the end of the day, they would still want you to be happy, no matter how indifferent and callous you are to them.
For that matter take his example, his wife has a bad viral, a fractured foot, and is living at her parents place, because?? Because there is no one to take care of her at her new home. Whatever the reason might be, they both are not coping well by being afar. As a wedding vow goes - In Sickness and in Health, In Joy and in Sorrow, I promise to be your side. He is not very good at showing his emotions, can't do the long teenage talks, giggle like idiotic nerds or persistently supply a continuous chain of compliments. But what he can do, is make her feel special, make sure she is taken care of, is not in harms way and more than anything trusts him with her life.
So.... He misses her, and again he misses her...
He misses the morning tea,with a dash of ginger and tulsi...
He misses her breakfast box,
with loads of butter and long talks...
He misses her deadly dishes,
and her endless list of wishes...
He misses her caressing love,
but not his things she got rid of...
He misses her heavenly scent,
but not all the money she has spent...
He misses her missed calls,
and sharing the winter shawls...
He misses her frequent fights,
and the occasional love bites...
He misses her taunting,
and her jewelery flaunting...
He wants her to be at his side,
to declare his love far and wide...
